Love Him or Hate Him... Pat's Opinion

BUCHANAN TO OBAMA

By Patrick J. Buchanan

Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America. Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to.... This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:

First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known... Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.

Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the ' 60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream.

Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks -- with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas -- to advance black applicants over white applicants. Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated their time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks.

We hear the grievances.

Where is the gratitude??

Barack talks about new 'ladders of opportunity' for blacks... Let him go to Altoona? And Johnstown, and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for 'deserving' white kids...? Is white America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America? Is it really white America’s fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent?

Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself?

As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barrack Osama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?

Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?

We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Taiwan Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena. And all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing.

Sorry, Barrack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago.

Just like Dr. Laura, Pat always has an opinion! And just like Dr. Laura, he gets a lot of criticism for expressing it. President Obama does not speak for all black Americans, just as Pat Buchanan does not speak for all non-black Americans. What both are very good at is debating and it would make a great media event to see these two address this issue on live TV.

Don't race to your TV Guide to look for this show anytime soon... but you can express your views here on the "Scoop".

And you left out THE Tavis Smiley
show, both on television and radio.

If a WHITE person had an all white
T.V. and radio show that ONLY talked about WHITE people, WHITE people's problems and all-WHITE colleges...then the blacks, including Al S. and Jessie J.
would ALL "pitch a hissy fit"!

And then Obama would call it "foul play" and request a beer summit!

If NAACP stands for colored people, then are we not all colored whether it be tanned, freckled, yellow, red etc?
What ever happened to the song "Jesus loves the little children, all the little children of the world. Red and yellow black and white they are precious in HIS sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world."
The days of inequality are over.
All people have the same rights now. It is all about what YOU choose to do with those rights that will make or break you.
I, frankly, have never lived in such a "place" where there is so much misuse of taxpayer's monies. It sickens me. I don't hate Greenville. I hate the fact that it is corrupt in almost every Governmental office. I would like to enjoy my time here.
For example:
Why do I have to listen to YOUR music?

Why do I have to wear my seatbelt when your children don't?

Why do my tax dollars pay for you to have painfree childbirth for your 7th baby when you are 25 and then buy your food, pay your bills, provide you a house, pay for your childcare, give your child a "crazy" check because you smoked crack when you were pregnant?

How can YOU afford to drive an expensive car when I actually WORK and can't afford a new or even airconditioned car?

I am just mentioning some of the services the working taxpayers provide to the nonworking, nontaxpaying people.

If you feel targeted by my comments, it is your own guilt that will cause you to defend yourself. Then you will show your true self and I will laugh at each and every comment that you make and I guarantee others will laugh with me.

Welfare, food stamps, and other government handouts are supposed to be temporary, NOT A WAY TO MAKE A LIVING.

AGREE??????

Anonymous said...

Hell Yes, I agree!!!!!!

Will the government send me a monthly "free" check so that I can get acrylic nails, hair extensions,
plus "free" groceries, health care, new teeth & colored contact lens??????

Also, I searched the internet and I can't find an organization for my husband to join named "100 WHITE MEN"!!! Why, oh why not?!!!

Anonymous said...

This programs are called entitlements. Needy people are entitled to those benefits. That is why we pay taxes. How would you feel if you lose your job and the government would not help you? How do you expect people in Greenville to work if there are no jobs? The argument about the nails and the cellphones is really getting old. These are the few distractions poor people have in this town. Aren't they allowed to have some enjoyment just because they are poor?

Anonymous said...

Please, don't listen to Pat Buchanan. He is just a racist fat white man. He is against immigration reform or anything that is non-american.

Fed Up said...

Entitlements? If I didn't have to pay a mortgage, utilities, taxes, health insurance, car insurance, home insurance, food bills, private school tuition, and property taxes, I could afford to have a few "distractions" myself... like taking a vacation once in a while to get out of this hell-hole!

If the government is supporting your ass, why do you need a cell phone, designer nails and multi-colored wig-hats? You don't need anything but a job and if there are no jobs in Greenville, pack up your sh!t, crank up your whooptie and GO!!!

Go give someone else the "right" to support your lazy ass! Pat Buchanan hit the nail on the head, but we are too immersed in guilt to admit that we have become a nation of "suckers"... too afraid to admit that we are hostages to those who abuse the freedoms of this country.

Yes, my house is on the market and I will leave Greenville with or without another job in 3 months! I have had ENOUGH!

6:05 PM

Di$tractions? Enjoyment?

If THEY were not spending hours sitting in a nail & hair salon OR hours talking on a cell phone, then THEY could get a job!

But, NO! THEY do go to the salon & talk on their cell phones, trying to "hook up" with a man so that THEY can AGAIN get pregnant! Talk about Needy!

Another baby mean$ more money!

It's bad enough that THEY get "free" money, "free"
groceries, and "free" rent, "free" health care but, THEY do NOT even $pend time with the government babies!

I guess THE babie$ are a di$traction and THEY don NOT get any enjoyment from them...ONLY money!

Pat Buchanan is telling THE truth and YOU just do NOT want to hear it!

Anonymous said...

7:56 PM

I agree with YOU!

Just "cut" all of the government programs and see what happens.

Will the African Americans stay in America and get a job...or will they pack up and go back to Africa?

If the white establishment in Greenville historically would have treated the African American community with fairness and RESPECT and promoted a good education and their wellness in general, we would be telling a different story today. We might even still have a white leadership in Greenville. No one else to blame than the stupidity of past generations.

Anonymous said...

10:43 you are an idiot! The white establishment DID take care of the African Americans (can we not just say "Black"). The white establishment is and has been the tax paying base to support the African Americans (can't say Black, might offend someone). The white establishment has paid for your education, and a lot of other things along the way, and the African American community has done absolutely NOTHING with their opportunities. I guess it is still the mentalitly that the "white man keeping us down". Guess what...African Americans OWN the Delta and African Americans are driving it into the ground! YOU are the majority...step up to the plate and do something instead of BITCH!

Anonymous said...

11:50 am speaks the truth! It is up to the African American community to stand up and make a difference before the tax payng white establishment leaves the delta for good. It takes ALL citizens working together, regardless of color, to have a decent community in which to live. Show some pride in what you do and where you live!

Anonymous said...

10:43 AM--- YOU are very, very WRONG!

THE so called WHITE establishment HAS given the BLACK establishment a free education for many, many years and THEY won't even accept it.

Every day THEY are absent from school, out on the streets "dealing and doing" drugs.

And when THEY do decide to go to the "free" education establishment, THEY are disruptive, and NOT even trying to accept the "free" education which will open the doors to numerous, even better opportunities.

THEY are still slaves. Slaves to the government! THEY do NOT have RESPECT for themselves!

Anonymous said...

I am sorry, but I will have to disagree with y'all. African Americans were essentially excluded from society and treated like subhumans up until 40 years ago. In fact, it is remarkable what they have achieved so far with that huge handicap.

Anonymous said...

9:44AM

Handicap my a$$!

Oh, but NOW they claim to be handicapped and THEY get the monthly "crazy" check!

Essentially excluded????

How many Caucasian Americans have been EXCLUDED from African American colleges, university, clubs, organizations, T.V. shows, radio shows in the last 40 years and treated like subhumans????

It's remarkable what the Caucasian Americans have achieved in the last 40 years on their own, WITHOUT monthly assistance from the Government!

And there are many, many more that will agree with me!

11:33,
So, you think that segregation and Jim Crow never happened and if it happened, it was not really a bad thing. If your ancestors had gone through that, would you have any sense of national pride or identity? Screw that!

Anonymous said...

1:24PM

National pride?

"I's be on welfare, just like my mama done been on welfare and my grandmama done been on welfare too"!

Identity?

"I's don't know who my daddy be and mama don't know who he be, either"!

She screwed who?!

Anonymous said...

It seems as though you think Jim Crow is still alive and rumbling around the Delta causing segregation as we speak. Wake up! This is 2010. You are only as segregated and oppressed as you choose to be. I was right when I wrote my original comment several days ago. The GUILTY would put their ignorant comments out for all of us to laugh at. So, if you think segregation is alive and well YOU are causing it. Segregation is in the minds of the ungrateful recipients of the HAND ME SOME MORE FREE STUFF society. I DO NOT OWE YOU ANYTHING. I guarantee you are not happy in your nonproductive society. But, then again maybe you want nothing better in life. Maybe you should start thinking about the procreation you are randomly performing. The children of the random acts are the ones that suffer the most. I would like to institute the procreation proclamation. I don't want to pay the "BABY MAMA" for the children conceived in order to receive a "check". How about the rest of the taxpayers? We need to stand together taxpayers of all races and show that we are not gonna take it any more. I for one am ready to take this country back. Elections are coming up and just because of your race you do not have to vote for who your preacher and friends tell you to vote for. Think for yourselves Mr. and Mrs. or Ms taxpayer. What are you willing to do to stop this welfare FRAUD?

It is the gov. and white mans fault the black man is down. If they would have left the blacks alone to fend for them selves, go a little hungry. Maybe they would have learned skills and how to work and pay for their own food. Given an easy way out with no work heck yea a "free" monthly sounds pretty good. Now that it is a way of life the cycle has to be broken. But I dont see that happening..
My sister (a white girl) is in bad need(bad need) of gov assitance but has been unabe to get any help. She is mentally handicap.. Makes me sick she cant get help!!

Not all blacks are living on Gov check. Alot have pulled away from the hood and try to do good and make it own thier own...

Dont blame me for type-Os, i went to GPS!!!

Anonymous said...

Well, I wasn't alive during slavery, the depression, or even segregation, so what ever may have happened to you (or didn't, happened to your ancestors) was not my fault, and I am tired of being treated like it was. Get over it. Grow up, Put on your big boy pants, (if you remember how to pull them up, that is), and make a life for yourself. nobody owes you squat. Do you think life was just handed to my grandparents? No, they had to scrap and work for everything that they had, which wasn't much. But you don't see ME belly aching about it.

Anonymous said...

AIDS, guns and drugs were introduced by the white man into the hoods to get rid of black people.

Anonymous said...

The 7:36 am post is rediculous!

Anonymous said...

7:36 AM

YOU are off your rocker!

AIDS? The WHITE man did not give the black man AIDS. The black hoochie moms on welfare, who don't know baby's daddy, gave AIDS to the black man. And the black man helped give AIDS to himself, by "servicing" welfare moms, one right after another!

Guns? The WHITE man did not give the black man guns. The guns were obtained by the black man stealing them. They use them for their so-called "jobs"...."dealing drugs" or breaking & entering the WHITE man's homes.

Drugs? The WHITE man did not give the black man
drugs. The drugs were given to the black man by other black men to get them into "gangs" and to do the "drug dealing" for them.

Wake up and accept the truth!

Place the blame where it belongs!

9:50,
You are wrong! Are you also going to deny that the white man broke the levee so the brothers in New Orleans would die? What do you say about that???

Anonymous said...

12:19 PM,

YOU are wrong, again!

The WHITE man did NOT have anything to do with the levee breaking in New Oreleans.

Nor, did the WHITE man have any 'connections' to any one or anything (religious or otherwise)responsible for 9/ll. Can you say the same thing for your race?

According to one parent, there were weapons at GWHS yesterday and one police officer threatened the TV camera person not to show pictures of students on the news. Parents were afraid to speak on camera. School officials are good at covering up the truth surrounding these incidents. A teacher was cut by a student in another incident. Did you hear that on the news? It is time for the community to RISE UP AND DEMAND A SAFE ENVIORNMENT FOR OUR CHILDREN!!!

Anonymous said...

There hasn't been nothing but problems since they put the schools together. Everyone should go to the school in their neighborhood to accomplish this all school must be equal. But T L Weston and G'ville High need to be split into two high schools. We need good teachers and active parents. Oh for the record I am black

11:36 PM

Good point!

1. THE school district has permission forms (that must be signed by the parent/guardian)in order to use a student's photo in a media network....BUT, that does NOT apply if the student is caught breaking the law and a televison crew or newspaper crew shows up!

Everyday,... photos of minors are shown at crime scenes, outside of courthouses, and being handcuffed and placed into patrol cars...on television and in newspapers, nation-wide!

So,...what's the difference!

2. Why were parents afraid to speak on camera and tell the truth?
(Maybe, because onf #3.!)

3.And..THE reason THE school officials are so good at "covering up the truth"...is because THE school district's head of security is THE former Chief of Police for the City of Greenville...none other than Marvin Minor!

4. A teacher got cut by a student? Why was this NOT in the news? Was the teacher black or white?Again, refer to #3!)

5. BUT, remember, THE school district could NOT "cover up" for it's former teacher, Carla Hughes, or the simple fact that HER mother was a teachers' union respresentative for the North Central division of Mississippi!. (Again, refer to #3!)

12:38 PM

The ONLY reason that they combined the two separate high schools into ONE high school...is simple!

They thought that IF they had only ONE football team, they would be able to win whenever they played the other schools.

This "combination" of the two schools was done way back when THE superintendent was a former coach!THE school district had TWO superintendents that were former high school coaches. Just shows you what the school district's priorities were and still are!

Sports are more important than academics!

P.S. And don't forget that Arthur Peyton, a former interim superintendent was also a high school coach.

Also, former Deputy Superintendent, Sammy Lee Felton was a high school coach.(And Leeson, although not a coach, spend very few years in the classroom!)

The Federal Programs' Director is married to a retired coach. And another program, Project Crossroad's Director is married to a retired coach.

12:41 PM,

And don't forget the fact that Kahoe's (from the police dept.)wife
is a social worker for THE schools.

Also, Laura, the secretary in Human Resources, has some "kin" folk on the police dept. (Might be how she got transferred from Solomon, since other secretaries had seniority and more experience!)

11:36 AM,

Maybe this incident and the "cutting the teacher" incident both ,involved a SPED student.

And you know how they are about SPED students!

Sped students can be mean as hell, get into all sorts of trouble, and NEVER, NEVER even get suspended from school---much less are criminal charges pressed aginst them.

All of the SPED teachers ( and Joyce Parker !) "jump up" and yell that the SPED students have rights and didn't mentally or emotionally KNOW what they were doing or saying! Crock of $hit!

They know how to get a "crazy" check and how to keep it coming, month after month! Just like Joyce Parker knows how to write a grant as their "supposedly" advocate...to keep her a monthly check coming, month after month!
